Jim Wells County has received notice from the Texas Department of State Health Services that the County no longer meets the requirements for the “Opt-In Request for bars to Reopen". Effective immediately, all TABC licensed establishments whose alcohol sales are greater than 50% of gross receipts (Red Sign) must close.  Also effective immediately, all restaurants and TABC licensed establishments whose alcohol sales are 50% or less of gross receipts (Blue Sign) must limit their capacity to 50% of their occupancy limit.
