About the Office

The County IT Administrator is responsible for a wide range of technical tasks which keep the County's IT Network, Servers, and Security System in good health.   The IT Administrator's most important tasks are to determine the County's systems needs and hardware acquisitions to accomplish its business objectives, to provide IT support to all county departments and their staff including on-site training and workshop, to ensure all workstations, servers, and network devices are performing optimally and carry out maintenance of them.  

The County IT Administrator works in close liaison with technology suppliers and service providers in respect of software, hardware, and services.  Therefore the IT Administrator must be able to source quotes from vendors, be the single point of contact for IT related purchases, and be responsible for providing the purchase order and request to the supplier.  The County IT Administrator is responsible for presenting recommendations to the County department heads and providing resources and information required to assist them in their decision-making.
